Maintenance Multi-Craft Mechanic
Pay: $30.00 – $31.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Overtime based on company needs)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
Openwork is seeking an experienced Maintenance Multi-Craft Mechanic to support a fast-paced industrial operation. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical and automated equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance including inspection, lubrication, testing, and adjustments
- Diagnose and repair machinery such as welders, slitters, presses, conveyors, hoists, cranes, and forklifts
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Adjust, calibrate, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment
- Inspect motors, belts, drives, and fluid systems; replace filters and components as needed
- Set up and operate plant equipment to support maintenance activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures
- Coordinate parts and supplies needed for repairs
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred
- 5–7 years of hands-on maintenance experience
- Technical training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
- Welding, fabrication, or machining experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
