MAINTENANCE LEAD (ELECTRICAL)

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled Maintenance Lead with ELECTRICAL abilities in Baytown, TX. In this high-impact and dynamic role, you will be responsible for leading electrical and mechanical upkeep in a shop, driving preventative maintenance, and ensuring peak operational efficiency alongside the plant manager. In a Maintenance Lead (Electrical) job you’ll be responsible for:

• Repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical production machinery (cutting, packaging, and processing equipment).

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose equipment issues rapidly.

• Managing maintenance inventory tracking, leading parts procurement, and connecting with electrical/mechanical vendors.

• Tracking preventative maintenance schedules to minimize emergency downtime.

• Coordinating and overseeing specialized external industrial technicians and electrical contractors.

• Handling light building maintenance and general shop support as needed.

What you’ll need:

• Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting background and technical proficiency with schematics and industrial controls.

• High personal accountability and a hands-on "get the job done" mindset tailored to a small shop environment.

• Proven background in a machine shop, wood shop, or light manufacturing environment.
