Now Hiring: Maintenance Groundskeeper

Location: Houston, TX 77051
Pay: $15.50/hr 
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp to hire 
Schedule: Mon - Fri | 7:00am - 5:00pm

Openwork is seeking an experienced Maintenance Groundskeeper to join a hands-on pipe, valve, and flange company. This is a great, long-term opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in an industrial field.  

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintaining the roadways throughout the facility clean of debris
• Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes cleaning and removing of trash.
• Observe necessary safety precautions • Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
• Responsible for mowing grass on property as well as using a weed eater

 

What We're Looking For

• Willing to reliably fulfil the designated work schedule inclusive of overtime
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
• Reliable transportation
• Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation
• Positive attitude; good team player
• Can work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment

• Must be able to lift and stack objects 15 to 20 lbs

• Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also include climbing ladders and staircases

• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, rain

MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING PPE: 

• Hardhat; Type 1 Class E, Orange (high visibility) 

• Safety Glasses – ANSI z87+, Clear 

• Safety Vest – Type R, Class 2, None FR, Yellow/Green, or Orange 

• Cut resistant gloves LVL 4+ 

• Steel Toed Boots (at least 5” ankle coverage)
