Openwork is Now Hiring: Embroidery Machine Operator – Charlotte, NC

Position Summary:
Openwork is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role specializes in operating rotary engraving and embroidery machines to produce high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency while maintaining equipment and meeting production deadlines.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM start time
  • Must be available to work Saturdays as needed
  • $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor rotary engraving and embroidery machines according to job specifications
  • Read and interpret work orders, design files, and production instructions to ensure proper setup and execution
  • Load materials, threads, and tools; adjust machine settings for optimal performance
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate any issues to supervisors
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating rotary engraving and/or embroidery machines preferred (training available for the right candidate)
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and design files
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments and maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs as needed
  • Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools
