Openwork is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Machine Assistants for a plastics manufacturing facility located in Lawrenceville, GA. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and are comfortable performing hands-on manufacturing duties.

The Machine Assistant will support machine operators with daily production activities, monitor product quality, handle materials, and help maintain an efficient and safe manufacturing operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators with the operation of plastics manufacturing equipment.

• Load and unload plastic materials and finished products from production machinery.

• Remove, trim, and package plastic components as directed.

• Monitor production lines to ensure continuous material flow and minimize downtime.

• Count, sort, label, and prepare finished products for packaging and shipment.

• Perform basic machine cleaning and assist with routine production changeovers.

• Report machine malfunctions, product defects, and safety concerns to supervisors.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Perform additional manufacturing and production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operation preferred but not required.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with job requirements.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced plastics manufacturing and production facility.

• Extended periods of standing and repetitive physical activity.

• Exposure to machinery noise and potentially warm production conditions.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

• Pay: $15.12 per hour

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts; specific workdays and rotation to be confirmed.
