Job Title: Job Description Specialist

Location: Houston, TX 77002

Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm | Temporary - Position does not have an end date 

Pay: $28 per hour

 

Are you an experienced HR Professional with job description writing looking for a  full-time HR opportunity with a reputable government entity? We’re hiring a Job Description Specialist to join our client’s team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Job Documentation: Develops and updates job descriptions.
• Job Analysis: Collects job data through interviews and questionnaires.
• Writing and Editing: Drafts job descriptions and ensures clarity and accuracy.
• Classification Support: Supports job evaluation and classification reviews.
• Compliance Review: Ensures documents meet legal and organizational standards.
• Research: Conducts research to validate job content and requirements.
• Records Management: Maintains job description libraries.
• Department Coordination: Works with departments to validate job content.

What We're Looking For:

• HR Degree strongly preferred 
• HR/Recruiting experience required 
• Must have a strong, demonstrated foundation of writing experience
• Job description creation, job description writing and/or publishing experience required 
• English degree or background is a plus
