Openwork is partnering with a respected industrial company in Northeast Houston to hire a dependable and driven Janitorial Associate. This role is essential to keeping operations running safely and smoothly in a fast-paced production environment.

As a Janitorial Associate, your work directly supports productivity, safety, and team performance. You will help create a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment that allows production teams to operate at their best. This is more than upkeep — it is a key position that keeps the facility operating efficiently every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain floors and walkways by sweeping and mopping throughout the facility

  • Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and workstations

  • Remove debris safely using proper tools and cleaning equipment

  • Assist with light painting and minor facility maintenance projects

  • Keep breakrooms and common areas clean and organized

  • Empty and maintain trash hoppers and waste bins

  • Support outdoor upkeep, including trash removal and light landscaping

  • Coordinate with operators to safely clean around machinery

  • Assist with additional facility-related tasks as needed

Schedule

Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Occasional Saturdays as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance experience preferred

  • Comfortable working in an industrial setting

  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

  • Forklift experience strongly preferred
