We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Technician II to join our maintenance team at a chemical manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving plant instrumentation and electrical systems while working in a safety-focused environment.

What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and calibration of plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, transmitters, valves, analyzers, and process instrumentation.
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing PLC and Yokogawa control systems.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and engineering documents.
- Document repairs and maintain accurate maintenance history.
- Assist with outage planning and shutdown activities.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend improvements.
- Mentor and train Level I I&E Technicians.
- Support plant operations by responding to emergency maintenance needs as required.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- 4-6 years of industrial Instrument & Electrical maintenance experience in a chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining process instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and industrial control systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCCER Craft Certification or equivalent.
- Experience working with Yokogawa control systems.
- Ability to lead contractors and mentor junior technicians.
- Confined Space Training (or ability to obtain).
Tools & Equipment Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience using:
- Multimeters, Meggers, clamp meters, and other electrical testing equipment
- HART Communicators
- Pneumatic calibration equipment
- Instrument calibration tools
- Standard electrical and mechanical hand tools
Work Environment
This position works primarily in an industrial chemical manufacturing facility. Candidates should be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments and be willing to work overtime, turnarounds, and emergency call-outs as needed.
The role requires climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in confined spaces, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Salary $45 to low $50's per hour depending on experience.
