Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a safety-focused Industrial Sit-Down Forklift Operator in Warner Robins, GA. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty sit-down forklift (including Yale industrial forklifts) similar to those used in construction and lumber yard settings to move, load, and stage materials in a manufacturing environment. In an Industrial Sit-Down Forklift Operator job you’ll be responsible for:

• Operating a sit-down forklift to move large and heavy materials throughout the yard and warehouse

• Loading and unloading trucks with building materials, including roof and floor trusses

• Staging and organizing materials for production and outbound shipments

• Inspecting forklift equipment daily and following all safety procedures

• Assisting with inventory counts and general warehouse duties as needed

• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience operating an industrial sit-down forklift (Yale forklift experience preferred)

• Experience loading and handling trusses and oversized building materials

• Construction or lumber yard experience strongly preferred

• Ability to safely move oversized or heavy loads in a fast-paced environment

• Basic knowledge of construction or building materials is a plus

• Ability to work outdoors and lift/carry materials throughout the shift

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow directions

• Steel-toed shoes required
