Openwork is hiring an Industrial Paint Shop Helper to support daily production in a busy manufacturing environment. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values consistency, and takes pride in contributing to quality output.

You will be a key part of the shop team, helping ensure materials are properly prepared, painted, and ready for shipment.

Primary Duties

• Drill holes using a mag drill and jig system
• Apply coatings using brushes and rollers to finished materials
• Operate a forklift to move and stage materials throughout the facility
• Wrap and prepare pallets for shipment
• Assist with moving large materials using an overhead crane
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Support general shop operations as needed

Experience and Skills

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or shop environments
• Forklift experience required (pre-employment evaluation conducted)
• Familiarity with hand tools and shop equipment
• Ability to lift 45–50 pounds consistently
• Comfortable working in a physically active role
• Painting experience in an industrial setting is a plus

Safety Requirements

• Must be clean-shaven for proper respirator fit
• Must be able to wear a respirator for extended periods
• Must follow hygiene protocols, including end-of-shift showering
• Must pass background check and drug screening
