Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Human Resources position in Macon, GA.
As a Human Resources representative, you will oversee all HR functions for the Macon facility, including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and training. Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Responsibilities for this Human Resources job include:

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for plant and office positions, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and orientation.

• Maintain accurate and updated job descriptions and personnel files.

• Partner with staffing agencies as needed to meet production demands.

• Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations, questions, and conflict resolution.

• Promote a positive and inclusive work culture that supports retention and engagement.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (EEO, FMLA, WC, OSHA, ADA, wage & hour, etc.).

• Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) programs.

• Coordinate payroll activities with corporate HR and finance teams.

• Facilitate new hire orientation, safety training, and ongoing development programs.

• Support workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and injury reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• Minimum 3+ years of HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.

• Strong knowledge of HR laws, practices, and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
