Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE HR Manager in the LaMarque, TX area that is eager to work. This position ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and city policies and procedures, while promoting a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
As an HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Lead and manage all Human Resources operations, aligning HR programs, policies, and procedures with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Advise leadership on workforce strategy, employee relations, and HR best practices while analyzing workforce metrics to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Administer compensation and benefits programs, including job classification, salary structures, market analysis, benefits administration, and annual open enrollment.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA) while conducting investigations, managing grievances, and supporting performance management and disciplinary processes.
Oversee recruitment, job description development, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives to attract, retain, and develop talent.
Manage HR training, workers’ compensation, safety initiatives, and departmental budgeting while coordinating with consultants and maintaining HR systems and communications.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management
Municipality experience is a huge plus
4 years of full HR experience
Perks:
$28-$33/hr
