Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search for a Grinder in Spartanburg. As a Grinder machine operator, your responsibilities include setting up and operating tools and machinery, examining materials to identify defects, and selecting the appropriate tool or machine to correct defects and create a finished product that meets quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities for this Grinder positions include:
- Inspection of items coming off production line
- The removal of defective pieces
- Operating grinding machinery to smooth or polish the surface of the products

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a machine shop preferred
- Knowledge of working with tight tolerances
- Experience with calipers, micrometers and basic math

Hours/Work Schedule: 9:00pm-7:00am Monday-Thursday (Double Time Pay on Friday IF you have to work)
Payrate: $18.00-$20.00/hr depending on experience.
