Openwork is currently hiring experienced Forklift Operators for a fast-paced warehouse and distribution facility in La Porte, TX!
This position is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound orders, inventory management, storage, and the accurate movement of packaged materials. Candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Support inbound and outbound shipping and receiving operations
- Assist with inventory management, storage, and material handling
- Ensure dock operations are completed accurately according to instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation as required
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized
- Assist with general labor and other warehouse duties as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Requirements:
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Must be able to pass both the theory and practical Forklift Driver Exam
- Must have a valid/current driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
- Must be flexible to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Schedule & Pay:
Location: La Porte, TX 77571
Pay: $16.50/hour
Rotating Shifts:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
