Forklift Operator – Day Shift

Location: Baytown, TX
Department: Shipping & Receiving
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support shipping and receiving operations in Baytown. Candidates must have relevant hands-on forklift experience and be able to safely operate a forklift before starting the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials.

• Support shipping and receiving activities by placing materials in designated areas.

• Verify material quantities and use basic math to maintain accurate counts.

• Perform pre-use forklift inspections and report equipment concerns.

• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Work with team members to complete daily assignments efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• Previous hands-on forklift operating experience is required.

• Must be able to operate a forklift safely before starting.

• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Availability to work the 7:00 AM–7:00 PM day shift.
