Forklift Operator
Location: Baytown, TX
Pay: $18.00-$20 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; must be comfortable working overtime and weekends
Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, has partnered with a local logistics company to bring 3 Forklift Operators to their team!
Job Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and order-picking processes
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy machinery
- Perform additional warehouse and material-handling duties as needed
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab
- Ability to walk and sit for extended periods
- Must be comfortable performing physical warehouse duties throughout the workday
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of forklift experience
- Must be able to successfully pass a forklift test
- Reach truck experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be comfortable working overtime and weekends
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
