Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Forklift Operator in Braselton, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for Assuring that the product is placed throughout the racking system and updating the system with product location. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.
In a Forklift Operator job, you’ll be responsible for:
- Operating both sit-down and reach-lift forklifts to move materials safely through tight rack spaces and production areas.
- Staging, loading, and unloading of HVAC blade products and components.
- Assuring that the product is placed throughout the racking system and updating the system with product location.
- Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and internal orders to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Managing inventory flow by organizing stock, performing cycle counts, and identifying discrepancies in the system.
- Collaborating with production teams to ensure the manufacturing line has the necessary components without delay.
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience operating both Sit-Down Forklifts and Reach Lifts in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Strong spatial awareness and the ability to maneuver heavy equipment in a busy production environment.
- Technical literacy, including the ability to interpret shipping orders, pick lists, and inventory reports.
- Basic computer proficiency, with a preference for experience in Excel or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with other departments and warehouse leads.
- Physical stamina to remain active throughout the shift and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
- manufacturing or metal fabrication logistics.
