Openwork is currently hiring Forklift Operators (Line Drivers) for a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment in La Porte, TX!
This position is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound orders, inventory management, material storage, and accurately moving and documenting packaged materials coming from the conveyor line.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Support inbound and outbound warehouse operations
- Move, store, and organize packaged materials
- Assist with inventory management and accurate documentation
- Support dock operations while following specific instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
- Assist with general labor and other warehouse duties as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Requirements:
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a forklift driver exam, including both theory and practical testing
- Must have a valid/current driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
- Must be flexible to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to follow PPE, safety, and quality procedures
Schedule & Pay:
Location: La Porte, TX
Pay: $16.50/hour
Rotating Shifts:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
