Facility Maintenance Technician (Bilingual Preferred)
Location: Northeast Houston Area
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM + Occasional Saturdays
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour

About the Role:
Openwork is assisting our client in hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will support the upkeep, cleanliness, and overall functionality of the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and walkways throughout assigned zones

• Clean around production equipment and machinery, ensuring debris and scrap removal

• Wipe down and clean equipment including presses, lasers, and work tables

• Use dust mops and air tools to remove debris safely from elevated surfaces (following safety instructions)

• Organize and maintain open work areas throughout the facility

• Notify machine operators when performing cleaning near machinery for safety compliance

• Maintain exterior surroundings including trash pickup and minor landscaping tasks (watering plants, organizing materials)

• Empty and clean trash hoppers and cans across all zones

• Complete outstanding or catch-up tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in facility maintenance or industrial cleaning preferred

• Ability to work safely around industrial machinery

• Physically able to lift, bend, and perform manual labor throughout shift

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

• Bilingual: English/Spanish strongly preferred

• Dependable with strong teamwork and communication skills
