Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Clean, disinfect and sanitize all common areas e.g., lobby’s, break rooms, classrooms, offices, and restrooms. refill to capacity, all toilet tissue holders, hand soap/ sanitizer and paper towel dispensers and supplies needed • Empty all waste baskets and replace with clean liners in all offices and areas of the facility and place trash in the proper containers • Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors in all areas of the facility using designated equipment • Dust and clean all furniture, fixtures doors, door frames, wall plates, windows, and window coverings using designated supplies • Maintain outside sidewalks, parking lots and designated smoking areas by sweeping debris, emptying trash cans and ash tray receptacles • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation in addition to facilities Preventative maintenance requirements • Complete initial and annual review of all safety practices for Industrial Safety Training Council and the Facilities department General Maintenance & Custodial Responsibilities • Quickly and correctly identifies the issue or problem behind each service request • Recommends and implements the most efficient solution to address the request/ issues • Maintains the effective working condition of necessary tools and equipment • Displays a strong, consistent effort in completing their work • Perform assigned preventative maintenance schedules for all areas of the facility as designated
Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence. • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customer or employees of organizations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to perform mathematical tasks and to effectively solve given mathematical problems • Ability to calculate figures and proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but un-involved written or oral. instructions Ability to use the computer to access a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
