Openwork is partnered with a local company in Concord, NC, to assist with their staffing needs! We are currently seeking a Fabrication Assistant to join their team on 1st shift. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential for continued employment.
Pay: $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities
- Assist Fabricators with daily fabrication tasks for commercial aluminum fenestration products, including cutting, machining, and shop pre-assembly.
- Assist with the assembly and fitment of various aluminum parts and extrusions using hand tools and machinery.
- Maintain quality and accuracy while completing assigned fabrication tasks.
- Work as part of a team to meet production and quality expectations.
- Complete tasks and assignments as directed by supervisors.
- Follow all safety and workplace procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with coworkers and supervisors.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
- Ability to operate small power tools.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend at the waist and knees as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- General understanding of the construction industry and related tasks is preferred.
- Previous fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or production experience is a plus.
Work Environment
- Work will be performed in a fabrication shop located in Concord, NC.
- Average work week is approximately 40 hours.
- This is a hands-on position requiring standing, lifting, bending, and working with tools and machinery.
