Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Temporary Part-Time Payroll Clerk to support one of our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on payroll and administrative experience in a professional office environment.
Position Details
- Job Title: Temporary Payroll Clerk
- Schedule: Part-Time, 20–25 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $16/hour
- Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months
- Required Availability: Must work every Wednesday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no exceptions)
- Office Hours: Office closes daily from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM for lunch
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Payroll Manager with processing and maintaining small payroll accounts
- Perform administrative and clerical support duties related to payroll operations
- Enter and verify payroll-related information accurately
- Organize and maintain payroll records and documentation
- Support general office functions as needed
- Follow instructions carefully while managing multiple tasks and priorities
Qualifications
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous payroll exposure is a plus, but not required
- Prior administrative or office experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and take initiative
- Must be dependable and able to take direction well
- Basic computer proficiency required
Software Used
- Experience with Accounting CS is a plus, but training will be provided
