We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor Mechanic to join a repair shop specializing in rotating equipment. This role involves the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing of AC/DC electric motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, and related industrial equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically skilled, and capable of contributing immediately, with potential for a lead role based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble and inspect electric motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures using testing and inspection tools
• Perform bearing removal and installation
• Measure and document critical dimensions, fits, and tolerances
• Clean, repair, and replace damaged components
• Conduct electrical testing (Insulation Resistance/Megger, Surge Comparison, Winding Resistance)
• Perform shop repairs and occasional field service work at customer sites

Qualifications:

• Experience with electric motor repair or rotating equipment required
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical measurements and specifications
• Experience with testing equipment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Lead experience is a plus and may qualify for higher pay

Pay: $25–$40/hour DOE
