Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a direct hireEHS Manager for a company located in Houston (77051). In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs at our headquarters distribution facility. This role focuses primarily on safety leadership, regulatory compliance, and injury prevention across operational teams, while maintaining working knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to an industrial distribution environment.
As an EHS MANAGER you’ll be responsible for:
Lead facility-wide EHS programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations.
Serve as the site subject matter expert on safety and environmental matters while supervising the EHS Coordinator.
Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain OSHA 300 logs, regulatory reporting, and environmental documentation including waste and spill prevention records.
Perform safety audits, job hazard analyses, and facility inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
Develop and deliver training on powered industrial trucks, lockout/tagout, fall protection, hazard communication, PPE, and emergency preparedness.
Track safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses, corrective actions) and partner with operations leadership to strengthen safety culture.
What you’ll need:
7+ years of EHS experience (required)
Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety programs
