Driver Trainee Program

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Driver Trainee for a well-established company located in North Austin. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience assisting with deliveries, warehouse operations, and material handling while training to become a driver of the company’s non-CDL 26’ box trucks. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-minded and interested in developing a long-term career in delivery and logistics.

As a Driver Trainee, you’ll be responsible for:

• Riding with experienced company drivers on delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries to jobsites

• Loading and unloading trucks

• Pulling orders based on provided material lists

• Stocking and organizing material in the warehouse

• Assisting with the accurate and timely movement of materials

• Maintaining warehouse housekeeping and organization

• Keeping a safe, clean, and efficient workplace environment

• Following all company safety procedures and guidelines

• Learning company delivery procedures and safe driving practices

• Training to become a driver of the company’s non-CDL 26’ box trucks

What you’ll need:

• Valid driver’s license

• Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

• Ability to read and write English

• Bilingual skills preferred

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Physically fit and comfortable performing active warehouse and delivery duties

• Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment

• Strong attention to safety and workplace cleanliness
