Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Warehouse Desk Clerk in Atlanta, GA. In this contract to hire position, you will be responsible for assigning orders to pullers and processing orders in a distribution center. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.
In a Warehouse Desk Clerk job you’ll be responsible for:
Workflow Coordination: Efficiently assign orders to pulling teams and process work orders within Oracle to maintain steady operational flow.
Shipment Documentation: Generate all necessary transport documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), FedEx/UPS labels, pallet tags, and container packing reports.
Vendor Integration: Navigate various vendor portals to route Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.
System Accuracy: Run daily replenishment programs and collaborate with forklift operators to ensure inventory is moved efficiently and on time.
Shipment Auditing: Conduct manual checks on outbound small parcel orders and verify shipment quantities to guarantee 100% order accuracy.
Performance Monitoring: Follow up with team leads to ensure productivity standards are met and maintain detailed records of daily production.
Discrepancy Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex inventory discrepancies occurring during the replenishment or pulling phases.
Financial Protection: Pull and submit critical chargeback documentation to mitigate financial loss and ensure vendor compliance.
Carrier Management: Partner with transportation carriers to schedule pickups and ensure all loads depart the facility on schedule.
Professional Correspondence: Act as the primary point of contact for customer service, carriers, and clients, providing timely updates via phone and email.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with checkers and warehouse staff to foster a culture of accuracy and high-performance.
Training & Expertise: Engage in pick-pack training to maintain expert-level knowledge for effective troubleshooting and team support.
Continuous Learning: Proactively document new procedures and seek clarification when necessary to ensure tasks are executed flawlessly.
Operational Agility: Maintain a "hands-on" approach by occasionally assisting with pulling small parcel orders and manual work order processing as needed.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
This role is located in Atlanta, Georgia in a distribution warehouse. The hours are from 9 AM - 6 PM.
