Location: Northeast of Houston
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour (higher rate possible based on experience) | Weekly Pay
Schedule: 2nd Shift | 2:45 PM – 1:30 AM | Overtime available
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
Openwork is hiring a dependable Decoiler / Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and playing a key part in keeping materials flowing efficiently through production.
Core Responsibilities
- Load large rolls of material onto production equipment
- Feed materials into production lines and monitor flow
- Assist machine operators to maintain smooth and continuous operations
- Identify and resolve minor issues such as jams or misfeeds
- Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Stage materials for production and shipping
- Maintain organized inventory and clean work areas
Additional Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse support
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
- Forklift experience required
- Previous material handling or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy materials and remain active throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Safety and Compliance Requirements
- Must be clean-shaven for proper respirator fit
- Must be able to wear a respirator throughout the shift
- Must be willing to shower at the end of each shift per safety protocols
- Must pass background check and drug screening
