Customer Service Associate
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Associate to provide professional customer support, process orders and payments, resolve service and billing concerns, and maintain accurate customer account information. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively resolve customer issues while maintaining positive business relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions, including inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
- Verify that appropriate changes or corrective actions are made to resolve customer problems.
- Determine charges for products or services, collect deposits or payments, and arrange for billing as needed.
- Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation and resolution.
- Resolve customer service and billing complaints through activities such as merchandise exchanges, refunds, and billing adjustments.
- Compare disputed merchandise with original requisitions and invoice information and prepare invoices for returned goods.
- Obtain and review relevant information to assess the validity of complaints and determine possible causes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information.
- Coordinate with the CCP Manager to collect, analyze, and report customer data for management reporting.
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner and follow established safety rules and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational & Skills Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related customer service experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, as well as other job-related software, e-technology, and cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes, including assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and resolve customer issues while achieving positive business outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and adhere to established safety guidelines.
- Must have a valid state-issued driver's license as required for driving on company business.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
