Contracts & Document Control Assistant
Job Type: Part-time (20 hrs/week)
Contract: Long-term through August 2026
Pay Rate: $25–$26/hr
Location: Austin (Downtown, TX)

Meador Staffing is seeking on behalf of our client an individual to support contracts, procurement, and compliance-related administrative functions for a public-sector environment in Austin, TX.
This position is ideal for someone with strong writing skills, an interest in legal or compliance work, and experience in document control, technical writing, or administrative support.
Responsibilities:
  • Review contract and procurement-related documents using established guidelines, policies, and applicable regulations
  • Assist with researching and summarizing relevant legal and policy updates, including Attorney General opinions, regulatory updates, and state procurement publications
  • Support document control activities, including organizing, uploading, and maintaining contract and purchase order files in electronic systems
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring deadlines related to vendor compliance, contract terms, and procurement reporting requirements
  • Help ensure accurate recordkeeping and updates to procurement and contract management systems
  • Support responses to public information requests by gathering, organizing, and assisting with redaction of responsive documents in accordance with applicable rulings
  • Assist with maintaining vendor files and supporting procurement reporting and compliance processes
  • Contribute to updates and improvements of internal procedures, checklists, and documentation standards
  • Provide general administrative and compliance support as needed
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical writing and written communication skills
  • Experience with document control, administrative support, or data entry
  • Ability to review and interpret policies, procedures, or contract language at a basic level
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Ability to work independently under close supervision
  • Interest in contracts, procurement, compliance, or legal-adjacent work preferred
