The Compression Shop Operator is responsible for manufacturing and assembling compression connectors and electrical power components used in high-voltage substations. This role involves operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. SEFCOR manufactures electrical power connectors and compression fittings for the utility industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate compression presses, drills, saws, and other production equipment.
- Assemble and fabricate compression connectors according to specifications.
- Read work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
- Perform quality inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Assist with packaging and shipping preparation as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
