Openwork | Mission-Driven Opportunity | $20/hour | Part-Time (Up to 30 hrs/week)
Openwork is proud to partner with an organization dedicated to empowering youth to reach their full potential. This is more than a role—it’s your chance to join a mission that changes lives and strengthens communities.
The Academic Coaching Program supports the success of youth and young adults ages 14–25 who are currently in or have aged out of foster care. By combining individualized academic support with essential executive functioning skills—such as time management, organization, and study strategies—we help participants build the confidence and tools needed to thrive.
Serving all of Harris County and 12 surrounding counties, this program is growing to meet the needs of one of Texas’s most diverse populations.
The Academic Coaching Engagement Worker plays a dual role: delivering direct support to students and coordinating the logistics that keep the program running smoothly. Working under the guidance of the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you’ll help ensure high-quality academic coaching while also stepping in to coach when needed.
You’ll be trained in the program’s proven tutoring model and will sign a proprietary agreement upon hire.
