CNC Programmer

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a CNC Programmer for a well-established manufacturing company located in North or South San Antonio. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support efficient, accurate, and high-quality production. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about precision manufacturing.

As a CNC Programmer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines

• Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models

• Selecting tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies to meet production requirements

• Setting up and proving out programs on CNC machines

• Troubleshooting machining issues and making program adjustments as needed

• Collaborating with machinists, engineers, and production teams to improve processes

• Ensuring parts meet quality, tolerance, and specification requirements

• Maintaining program documentation and revision control

• Following all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures

What you’ll need:

• 3-5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency with CNC programming languages (G-code/M-code)

• Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, and/or multi-axis machines

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T

• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
