Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Skilled CNC Operator for a well-established manufacturing company located in North San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to fabricate, cut, and shape sheet metal components with precision and quality. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about learning a unique, high-demand trade skill. You will receive training as a Press Brake Operator, so a willingness to learn, be coached, and grow your skillset is essential.

As a CNC Operator, you’ll be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders

• Setting up and operating CNC machinery to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal

• Performing quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications

• Troubleshooting and making adjustments to CNC machines as needed

• Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

• Working closely with production teams, supervisors, and quality control to meet deadlines and manufacturing goals

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment

• Learning to operate a Press Brake under training and coaching guidance

What you’ll need:

• 2–5 years of sheet metal fabrication or CNC operation experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on machining skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics

• Solid understanding of fabrication processes, tolerances, and material handling

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines

• Willingness to learn, be coached, and grow into a Press Brake Operator role

• Reliable work ethic and commitment to safety protocols
