Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a day shift opportunity in the Houston area.
Schedule
- Day Shift
- Monday–Friday 6am-3pm
- Overtime opportunities available
- Location: Houston, TX- Hobby Airport area
Responsibilities
- Perform complete set-ups and operate CNC mills and lathes (HAAS experience preferred).
- Program machines from blueprints and technical models (GibbsCam experience preferred).
- Utilize tool probes and make machine adjustments as needed.
- Machine and inspect rotating parts, split parts, and bearings.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience performing complete machine set-ups.
- Experience machining rotating equipment and bearings.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience working from CAD models.
- GibbsCam experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
