Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist for a night shift opportunity with a leading precision manufacturing company in the Houston area.

- Night Shift
- Monday–Friday 3pm-12am
- Overtime opportunities available
- Location: Houston, TX- Hobby Airport area
- Pay: Depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision-machined components.
- Operate a VT-60 Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) and other CNC equipment.
- Utilize Siemens 840D controls to run programs and make machine adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and production standards are met.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary offsets or adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer specifications and production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience operating a VT-60 Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL).
- Required: Experience with Siemens 840D controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
