Location: Oklahoma City
Pay: $22 - $27 per hour | Direct Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: As needed based on business needs

Openwork is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join a hands-on manufacturing operation in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong CNC Lathe experience. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes (such as Samsung, HAAS, Puma, or Mazak models) to turn, face, bore, and thread parts for industrial reels, winders, and material handling systems.

  • Blueprint Reading & Tolerances: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to machine parts to strict tolerances 

  • Control Operations & Edits: Load programs and perform G-code/M-code edits using Fanuc, Mazatrol, or HAAS controls as needed to ensure optimal toolpaths and part accuracy.

  • Precision Inspection: Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges to verify specs prior to quality assurance sign-off.

  • Tooling & Maintenance: Install three- and four-jaw chucks, select appropriate carbide inserts, set tool offsets, and perform basic preventative machine maintenance.


What We're Looking For

  • Must have 3 years of CNC Lathe machining experience 
  • Must be able to setup machines
  • HAAS or FANUC controls experience a plus 

Work Environment

  • Non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility
  • Industrial noise levels requiring participation in a hearing conservation program
  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and remain active throughout the scheduled shift
  • Must be flexible to work overtime based on business needs
