About the Opportunity

Join a global leader in chemical manufacturing as a Chemical Quality Control (QC) Technician at our Conroe, TX facility. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with 3–4 years of hands-on lab experience—particularly those with backgrounds in chemistry or life sciences—to contribute to quality assurance processes without redundant work procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, ensuring compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced analytical instruments such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and ICP, applying your understanding of their principles for accurate analysis.
  • Analyze data trends and interpret results to inform quality decisions, focusing on applying scientific concepts rather than repeat manual tasks.
  • Ensure safe handling and disposal of laboratory waste following Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Prepare reagents and calibration standards with proper documentation, leveraging your background in chemistry or related sciences.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in lab information management systems, supporting data integrity and traceability.
  • Collaborate with team members during shift handovers, communicating relevant findings and observations clearly.
  • Uphold all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality systems to sustain high standards of laboratory operation.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of practical laboratory experience in chemical, manufacturing, or related scientific environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of analytical techniques and instrumentation (GC, ICP, titration, etc.).
  • Ability to apply scientific principles to interpret results and troubleshoot analytical issues confidently.
  • Comfortable working on a rotating schedule involving day and night shifts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous documentation, and data analysis capabilities.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems such as SAP or LIMS is a plus.
