Now Hiring: Call Center Representative
Location: Houston, TX 77002 | Hybrid after training
Pay: $21.50 - $23/hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri | 8:00am - 5:00pm | Occasional Saturdays 8:00am - 3:00pm
Length of Position: 6 months

Position Summary:
The Call Center Representative serves as the primary point of contact for community members seeking public health information, programs, and services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Answer incoming calls from the community for public health services, including clinical appointments
- Make outgoing calls as needed to support HCPH operations
- Provide customers with appropriate resources, correct guidance, and services to meet their need
- Record call outcomes in digital survey
- Schedule patients for medical appointments at clinics
- Answer questions and remain knowledgeable about all programs and services
- Transfer patients to appropriate team or to other local health departments
- Ensure patient confidentiality of protected health information (PHI)
- This is in-office work with a hybrid telework option after training is completed, with up to 3 days telework and 2 days in office.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Microsoft Office experience
- Prior Call Center experience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly
