Calibration Laboratory Technician
Ensures that the functional quality products are maintained in accordance with established requirements.
Role Qualifications:
- Must possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a team player in a continuous improvement environment
- Must be extremely well organized and detail oriented along with exposure to office and manufacturing environments
- Previous experience with Coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
- Must have a minimum of 2 years inspection experience in a calibration environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs inspections of company and customer owned products to determine conformance with specifications.
- Adhere to internal controls under ISO 17025.
- Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and various quality processes.
- Process associated documentation including process order documents, rework tags and nonconforming material documents.
- USE a coordinate-measuring machine that measures the geometry of physical objects by sensing discrete points on the surface of the object with a probe.
- Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years inspection experience in calibration.
- Must have a Quality Certification, example ASQ-CCT
- Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) experience required.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and quality processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and inspection instructions. GD&T knowledge necessary.
- Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow written instructions and techniques.
- Good basic mathematical aptitude required.
Shift: Days 7am to 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: $19.00 to $20.00
