Cabinet Paint Booth Prep Technician

Pay: Based on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Booth Prep Technician to join our cabinetry team in McDonough. This position involves preparing, sanding, and painting custom cabinets using professional spray equipment and finishes. Candidates with automotive painting or auto body experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cabinet parts and surfaces for painting, including sanding and cleaning
- Mix and apply finishes such as lacquer and paint in a controlled booth environment
- Maintain proper coating thickness and color consistency according to specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and make touch-ups or corrections as needed
- Keep the paint booth and work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all safety procedures and use provided protective gear
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in auto body painting, industrial painting, or cabinet finishing preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team
- Must take pride in craftsmanship and enjoy hands-on work
- Knowledge of lacquer finishes and spray equipment operation is a plus
