Meador an Openwork Company is seeking a direct hire Buyer located in the Webster area. This role is responsible for the procurement execution of assigned goods and services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing expectations.
As a Buyer you’ll be responsible for:
Responsible for purchasing materials in compliance with customer’s contract terms.
Responsible for managing all Excess and Obsolete Inventory items.
Makes tactical buying decisions with respect to the placement and management of all purchases within assigned customer portfolio to meet scheduled demand.
Negotiate lead-time constraints with suppliers to negate missed commitment dates.
Review all delivery issues and take appropriate corrective action to avoid schedule impact.
Participate in the formal Parts Shortage Escalation process.
Manage and resolve PO Purchase Price Variance (PPV) issues.
Attend MRB meetings as scheduled to maintain satisfactory compliance of Nonconforming Materials (NCM) return and disposition.
Analyze potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement.

3+ years of buying / procurement experience
Heavy PO experience – required
Bachelor s degree preferred
