Openwork is currently hiring a Bilingual HR Coordinator for a long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturing company in Tarboro, NC. This position is ideal for an organized, people-focused professional who enjoys recruiting, employee relations, and supporting a positive workplace culture. The role is primarily Human Resources (approximately 85%) with occasional administrative support to the Accounting department.

Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process for manufacturing and office positions, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employees regarding company policies, benefits, leave, and employment-related questions.
- Translate HR documents and communicate policies, procedures, and training materials in both English and Spanish.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with benefits administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and leave management.
- Support payroll by processing employee status changes and maintaining accurate timekeeping information.
- Assist with employee relations by documenting concerns and partnering with management on resolutions.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare HR reports, maintain compliance documentation, and assist with audits.
Administrative & Accounting Support
- Provide administrative support to the Accounting department on an as-needed basis (approximately 3 hours per week).
- Assist with accounts payable by processing invoices and maintaining vendor files.
- Prepare documentation for accounts receivable and billing.
- Reconcile receipts, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
- Enter accounting and financial data accurately into company systems.
- Support month-end reporting and special accounting projects.
- Assist with daily bank and post office runs.
- Welcome visitors and serve as the first point of contact by greeting guests and directing them appropriately.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
- Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or HR administration.
- Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, benefits, or payroll functions preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Accounting or administrative support experience is preferred but not required.
