Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an Assembly Technician for a manufacturing in South Austin. In this role, you’ll support the assembly and production of mechanical and electrical systems in a shop environment. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on technicians who enjoy working with tools, wiring, and detailed build processes.

As a Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

• Performing mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies

• Completing electrical wiring, cable, and harness fabrication

• Connecting battery systems and performing interconnections

• Reading and following schematics, build documentation, and work instructions

• Using standard shop tools to complete production tasks

• Ensuring quality and accuracy in all assemblies

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Supporting team production goals in a fast-paced setting

What you’ll need:

• 3-6 years Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring

• Experience with crimping, harness building, and shop tools

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

• Comfortable working in a shop/production environment

• No electrician or engineering license required

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm schedule
