Openwork is assisting a firearm manufacturing company located in Smyrna GA seek assemblers. Shift is 1:30 PM to9:30PM. Pay is $17.90 per hour.  Please apply if you meet the below qualifications are are interested in this assembler position.
General Purpose:
Assemble and inspect company firearms and products accurately and efficiently according to the standard work instructions in order to
prepare them for test fire and shipping.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
• Assemble company  firearms and products according to company procedures and productivity goals as well as internal
quality specifications.
• Ability to work on an Assembly Line, in a team and quota-based environment.
• Fully understand and strictly adhere to all company safety policies while on company property or representing company.
• Build and inspect subassembly – ensure proper trigger parts and configurations per BOM while inspecting parts for
defects.
• Build and inspect the Frame – ensure proper frame parts and configuration Per BOM while inspecting parts for
defects.
• Build and inspect the Slide – ensure proper slide parts and configuration per BOM while inspecting parts for defects
including using gauges to test installed parts.
• Install and inspect sights – ensure correct sights are installed per BOM/ballistic report while inspecting parts for
defects.
• Installing the completed slide onto the completed frame ensuring that all components are visually and functionally
correct while meeting the required takt time.
• Clean and inspect pistols after test fire, including bore brushing the barrel, cleaning the exterior of the firearm,
verifying matching serial numbers, inspecting for defects, and ensuring that the build configuration is correct.
• Utilizing advanced technology such as automaton, Zeiss measuring devices, and other computer related processes
• Extensive tool usage to include hand torque drills, small punches and other various sized and shaped hand tools
used to install small components into the firearms.
• Ensure that all documentation is correct including quantities and other records.
• Computer skill to process PTO requests, and complete monthly/annual required training courses.
• Maintain the Assembly work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S principles.
• Report defective parts or questionable conditions to the line lead or department supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of QC requirements and procedures to ensure proper identification and disposal of
nonconforming parts.
• Communicate with line leads and assemblers at shift change to exchange relevant information in order to prevent
mistakes and expedite the assembly processes.
• Supports all LEAN activities in the assembly area, especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S
principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN
principles to achieve highest quality standards.
• Must be punctual, present in regular attendance, and have a flexible work schedule.
• Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensures compliance to ISO-, OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards
in his/her area of responsibility.
• Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up to date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education
measures.
• Must pay close attention correct part numbers, configurations, defects, processes, and procedures.
• Employee will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
