Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a contract (3-4 weeks) AP SPECIALIST for a company located in the Pasadena area.The AP/GL Accountant role is responsible for supporting the Administration Department, and their particular functions, by providing advanced AP and GL accounting support, and other related duties, as required.
As the AP SPECIALIST, you will:
Process vendor invoices and other general invoices (including raw materials & freight).
Respond to vendor queries.
Pull A/P reports to ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Purchase Order research.
Identify opportunities for process
Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and validity of transactions and company books and records.
Support the monthly close process; ensure compliance with established timelines within the monthly close process.
Process journal entries.
Process raw material receipts.
Assist the Accounting/Finance Manager with fulfilling outside financial/operational data requests.
Identify new processes and review existing ones to create more efficient workflows and ensure controls for processes are sufficient and compliant. Leverage technology to automate processes and procedures surrounding the accounting function.
Assist the Accounting Manager with fulfilling outside financial/operational data requests.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree – Preferred
5+ years of AP and GL experience - REQUIRED
Advanced Excel knowledge – REQUIRED

Fully in office
Salary:
Salary: $30-35/hr
