Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find an experienced and relationship-driven Agency Operations Manager to support a national title insurance underwriter. This is a non-escrow role focused on overseeing, supporting, and ensuring compliance of independent title agents operating under the underwriter’s authority.
In this high-impact, trusted advisory role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the underwriter and its appointed title agents, ensuring adherence to underwriting standards, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.
In this Agency Manager role, you will:
Oversee and support a portfolio of independent title agents on behalf of the underwriter
Ensure agents comply with underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures
Conduct agency audits, reviews, and ongoing performance evaluations
Partner with agents to resolve underwriting, compliance, and operational issues
Assist with onboarding, training, and education of new and existing agents
Serve as a field-facing representative of the underwriter, building strong agent relationships
Identify risk exposure and work proactively to mitigate underwriting and compliance issues
Collaborate internally with underwriting, legal, and compliance teams
Monitor agent production, quality metrics, and contractual compliance
Direct experience working for a title insurance underwriter (required)
Strong understanding of agency oversight, underwriting standards, and title insurance compliance
Experience managing or supporting multiple title agents, not just a single office
Background in agency audits, risk management, or compliance preferred
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Ability to influence and guide agents without direct managerial authority
Knowledge of state-specific title regulations and underwriting practices
Competitive compensation (based on experience)
Excellent benefits package (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
Stability with a well-established organization
Opportunity to work in a strategic, consultative role within the title insurance industry
This position operates on the underwriter side, focusing on agency oversight and compliance, rather than day-to-day escrow operations. The Agency Manager plays a critical role in maintaining underwriting integrity while supporting and strengthening agent partnerships.
