Hours:
- Monday-Friday or as required
- Full-Time (7:45 am-4:45 pm)
Salary: Non-Exempt- $15 per hour (Agency Temporary)
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Voter Clerks-Temporary perform a wide variety of routine tasks associated with registering voters and conducting elections including computer research, data entry, proofreading for accuracy, comparing and verifying signatures, and packing supplies for polling places.
- Ideal candidates for this position will possess data entry skills and the ability to work in groups on detailed, repetitive tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Ability to apply basic skills on a regular basis with accuracy (data entry, keyboard & hand tools)
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to multi-task, work extended hours / weekends as needed, and maintain professional and friendly customer service PREFERENCES
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient personal computer (PC) skills
- Ability to communicate and speak with clarity and volume that can be understood in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to read and detect errors on documents
- Excellent reading comprehension, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work without constant supervision and function effectively in a team- oriented environment
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion
- Must have a professional attitude and appearance

WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Some physical effort required, which may involve periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs. or similar activities (e.g., filing, delivering, sorting) ·
- Encouraged to wear cloth face covering, gloves when needed, maintain good hygiene and practice social distancing within the workplace
- Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level · A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis
- Regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination)
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines aid parking for its downtown location. However, parking is available at a daily rate by various parking vendors within the area
