Openwork is engaged in a search for an Accounting Clerk for a manufacturing company specializing in plastic coverings and other plastic components. This is a full-time, temp to hire position in the Hobby area. What you’ll do:
Assist with accounts payable, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
Support accounts receivable by posting payments and monitoring customer accounts.
Prepare and process customer billing and invoices accurately and on time.
Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
Reconcile invoices and assist with resolving payment discrepancies.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet visitors when providing front desk coverage.
Assist with general administrative duties, including data entry, scanning, filing, and document preparation.
Provide support to the accounting team on special projects and other duties as assigned.
Float between accounting and front office responsibilities based on business needs.
What you’ll need:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus.
Entry-level to 2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative support role.
Basic knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and invoicing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Experience with accounting software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
Professional, dependable, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Details: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM – 5PM Pay: starting at $18 (depending on experience) Full-time benefits upon permanent placement.
