Location: North Houston Area
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience) | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Overview
Openwork is partnering with a growing organization to hire a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role supports both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and plays a key role in maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and enter bills accurately into accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred)
• Manage vendor communications, statements, and payment processing
• Print and distribute checks and monitor recurring payments
• Assist with collections and accounts receivable follow-up
• Support document management including scanning, filing, and organizing records
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
• Provide general administrative and clerical support

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of accounting, AP/AR, or related experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Work Environment

• Professional office setting
• Primarily sedentary role with extended computer use
• Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs
