Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a direct hireAccountant for a company located in Southeast Austin (78744). In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations to ensure company financial processes run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their accounting skills in a professional environment.
As an Accountant you’ll be responsible for:
Own and execute the monthly close process (journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements)
Maintain and manage the general ledger with accuracy and consistency
Track and analyze COGS, inventory-related costs, and operating expenses
Ensure proper expense classification and cost tracking across the business
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows
Partner with leadership to provide clear, reliable financial reporting
Assist with audits, tax prep, and external reporting as needed
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
2+ years of full cycle accounting experience (required)
QuickBooks Online experience - REQUIRED
